Giclee: 20x26; 10x13 What a caterpillar calls the end of the world, The Master calls a butterfly. ~Richard Bach Terry has had her own transformation since her husband passed from a motorcycle accident. Grief is never easy, and Terry was closely tied with her loving, unique, ministry-minded husband. A lot was lost on that cold September day six years ago, and Terry found her rest in God’s cocoon. A cocoon is not meant to be a forever home however, and God had a lot more waiting for Terry beyond those tough walls. Breaking through hurts. It finds pain, creates scars, and wells up with tears. But all of these create a strength, a beauty beyond words. And without the strength to break through, to peer beyond those walls, there’s little chance for wings to grow. Wings that lift you up, soar to new heights, meeting new joys and new challenges along the way. It is hard to see someone’s strength without seeing their pain. The tears that have been let loose and the walls that have been battered down. Terry is strong, and her wings are growing, ready to take off…knowing there will be a resting place whenever she is weary. |
